I think it was a eh crump biography read. It enlightened me on media stereotypes, on how decisions are made, on how the media influences all aspects of our lives including racial relations. After reading this book, it is easy to understand why people are judged by groups and not by individuals.

I'm revisiting this one to use in class -- a solid analysis of race and US media and useful contribution to nuanced discussions of representation though if you tire of statistical analysis this one might tire you as well.
